Dance for Survival: Butoh Composition Workshop (CLE)
In this workshop, we ask,” How can we find freedom within form, story, and structure? How can we turn an improvisation into a live-composition? “Butterfly Harvest” is a solo Butoh piece, choreographed and performed by Oscar Suh-Rodriguez, set to premiere at Vangeline Theatre’s Queer Butoh Festival 2026.
It conveys the story of a butterfly farmer, the butterflies that inhabit his dreams, and his struggle, as he faces his ability to destroy beauty but not embody it.
